Rain Helps Farming Outlook

It was unusual weather for March in North Dakota but a welcome sight nonetheless Thundershowers moved across the region yesterday and last night dumping some much needed rain on area fields Rain totals ranged anywhere from a trace to an inch of precipitation in North Central North Dakota Roger Haaland says his farm near Berthold received about 7-tenths of an inch of rain by the time it let up Haaland says the rain will make a big difference for farmers when they start spring planting Roger Haaland Farms near Berthold Oh yea it was real nice to get this shot of rain Let s us go into spring a little more optimistic and prices are good and now the weather is cooperating things look pretty good for us farmers Haaland says if the weather stays warm he hopes to get into the field in mid-April to start spring planting
