It opens doors of opportunity and puts Minot in a very competitive position for attracting new business That s what members of the Minot Area Development Corporation had to say today about intermodal facility that s planned for the northeast edge of Minot MADC members toured the area this afternoon where the intermodal facility is set to be built The tour was part of their monthly board meeting Board President Randy Burckhard says the shipping facility will be a great asset to the city for years to come Randy Burckhard MADC Board President It s as simple as saying it s Minot s interstate highway because we are going to haul a lot of boxed containers through Minot and out to the west coast and it s going to mean jobs and it s going to mean more economical development The intermodal facility is expected to be completed and operational later this fall
