Investigators Look For Help in Murder Case

Authorities in Wells County are looking for help in figuring out who killed a Sykeston couple last weekend The bodies of 70-year old Donald Willey and his 67-year old wife Alice were found in their burned-out farm home early Saturday morning Then on the day of their funeral this week authorities announced the two hadn t died in the fire but were instead homicide victims A neighbor says the news that it was murder is hard to take Jim Kutz Neighbor You just wonder what was the circumstances it s hard to believe anyone around here would be the cause of anything like that because everyone is kind of close knit in a small community Wells County State s Attorney Kathleen Trosen is asking anyone with information about the Willeys to contact local law enforcement She s hoping someone might have seen something near the family s farm or talked with the couple in the days leading up to their deaths You can contact the Wells County Sheriff s Department at 547-3211 Trosen is not giving any information about how they believe the Willeys were murdered
