She didn t pull the trigger but Tamara Sorenson faces the same amount of time for killing Donald and Alice Willey Tamara Sorenson pleads not guilty today to two counts of Accomplice to Murder She s charged with aiding Aron Nichols in killing Donald and Alice Willey The Willey s were found dead in their rural Sykeston home April seventh They were shot to death and their home was set on fire Donnell Preskey has more from the Wells County Courthouse Donnell Preskey Tamara Sorensons fianc 233 160 169 s charged with murdering Donald and Alice Willey But prosecutors say Aron Nichols couldn t have done it without Sorenson Ladd Erickson Prosecutor She basically manipulated him into doing this That her motive her hatred for the family is why he did this Donnell Prosecutors say Sorensons hatred for the Willeys was over her daughter - the Willey s grand daughter They had been in a custody dispute since 2002 And just weeks before Donald and Alice s deaths they were granted visitation rights Erickson So things from beginning of feb until april sixth were intense Special agent Craig Zachmeier says Sorenson didn t keep her feelings to herself Zachmeier Sorenson stated on more than one occasion she wished the Willeys were dead David Ogren Sorenson s attorney That s not a call for someone to do something Zachmeier says he found directions to the Willeys farm in Nichols vehicle There was also floor plans of the Willeys home He says a handwriting analyst says Sorenson drew it Zachmeier more specifically to the a in words that he has never seen any hand writing as close to Tamara Sorensons as the way that a was written because it was so individualized Zachmeier also talked about phone records from the day the Willeys were killed Right after Sorenson s daughter hung up with Donald and Alice Willey Sorenson called Nichols His phone was getting service from the Carrington tower That call ended at 8 55 p m He called Sorenson back at 11 41 Ladd Erickson Do you have evidence the homicides occurred between those two calls there Zachmeier Yes Erickson What evidence do you have Zachmeier The watch that alice Willey was currently wearing according to family members was stopped at 11 30 pm Erickson What would stop a watch Zachmeier Heat Zachmeier says an accelerant was also found at Sorensons home Along with ammunition matching 45 caliber bullets used to kill the Willeys In Fessenden Donnell Preskey KX News Sorenson s accomplice to murder charges are double A felonies she faces life in prison Prosecutors say they would like to move Sorenson and Nichols trial out of Wells County Attorneys are also talking about combining the cases
