Country Woman of the Year Named

Awards were still being handed out on this second to last day of the fair The Farm and Ranch Guide presented one such award to the 2007 Country Woman of the Year Since 1994 the award has recognized women who do extraordinary work on family farms and ranches in North Dakota Usually only six individuals are nominated but organizers said this years field was so impressive they recognized seven The award presented at a luncheon this afternoon ultimately went to Connie Brown who works on a ranch in Devils Lake And Connie says she was honored to be singled out of such an accomplished group Connie Brown 2007 Country Woman of the Year All farm women work hard and it s quite an honor to be honored for doing everyday work I guess It s something Connie was selected after several interviews and was chosen by a panel of five judges
