Wilton Farmer Rescued By Fellow Farmers

An injured Wilton farmer has gotten some help harvesting his crops Wes Doepke was severely burned when his combine started on fire He just returned home last week after being treated at a Minnesota Burn Center As you can imagine this is a busy time for Doepke and other farmers He says his friends have helped out a lot with harvesting his grain and other crops Today he got special help from Farm Rescue a non profit organization that helps injured farmers They re harvesting his soybeans and pinto beans Doepke tells us how he was injured Wes Doepke Injured Farmer Combine started on fire everything happened so fast Friend called and said you ahve to get out of there right now and before i knew it it was too late I knew where I had to go and it wasn t where I was at I busted out of the combine and went through the fire and I came out It was all around Farm Rescue is combining one thousand acres for Doepke in the next couple of weeks The agency has helped twenty farmers so far this year
