It all began here in a quiet farm yard in southwest North Dakota just two years Ago helping out an injured producer plant his crop Since then Farm Rescue has helped 26 farm family s plant their crops and last added another needed service Seven family farmers were helped out at harvest by the Men and Women in Blue of Farm Rescue Christina Hood Farm Rescue Director of Operations Farm Rescue is once again providing assistance to farmers that are injured or ill Now is the time to fill out the application and get it back to us The organization was able to ramp up their services already in their second season thanks to more donations and sponsorships More volunteers also climbed aboard Volunteers like Gene Spichke Gene Spichke Farm Rescue Volunteer We met some great people and they were very appreciative of what we did for them Smokey Wright Farm Rescue Volunteer I m a retired farmer just retired a year ago and it was like going home for me It was just wonderful Along with the new-comers the ol standby s returned and are more than ready to drop the drill back into the dirt and get planting underway Bill Krumwiede Farm Rescue Volunteer I m ready to get going as soon as the frost is out of the ground and the bad thing about it this is to do anything we have to have farmers that are ill or injured and that s what we don t like but that s a fact of life A fact that does affect all too many farmers Farm Rescue hopes help nearly 30 farm families this season if the need is there and hopes no one thinks twice about asking for help Christina Hood Farm Rescue Director of Operations We have a lot of referrals that come into our office and it s a neighbor and it s just because farmers themselves don t want to take the assistance because they assume someone else is more needing of it That s not the case If you re to a point where you don t know how you re going to get through a season that s when you need to give us a call They are the Hand of Hope Ready to Help Shaun Sipma KX News
